The First Motos are in the books, as the gates dropped today for the first of many more this week, some fell early or suffered from bad starts and came from way back to finish strong. Some crashed out, and with it went their title and top finish hopes Some riders had good starts along with strong finishes. No matter what just taking a lap at the facility is something not everyone can do. The preparation, or lack of prep shines through after a couple laps and the cream rises to the top.

Masters 50+
In the morning, spectators and online viewers were treated to one of the most intense LLMX battles they will ever see , with Rockford, MI's John Grewe and New Jerseys Barry Carston passing each other back and forth for nearly the entire moto, Carsten had a line in the 10 commandments that allowed him to sneak by Grewe, with John making up the time in the "storyland and RMMC Beach" sections to re pass the former NJ pro. On the last lap, the #70 Babitts online Kawasaki machine of Grewe made its final pass on the 31 Suzuki of Carsten and navigated through the lapped traffic to take the 1st moto win in the Masters 50+
Womans
It started with a BANG, as the #51 Babbitts Online machine of Caledonia's Brianna Sheltema rocketed out to the Bell Helmets holeshot looking for her best ever moto finish, but it was not to be as Biranna fell on the first lap and had to re mount a charge from 25th to making some key passes on the last lap to end up 14th, look for Bri to finish top 5 or even better in the next motos, with starts like this. Other Michigan womans riders that had a good race included our top MI finisher, Bay City's Landrey Hazen aboard her Yamaha, making a charge from outside the top 20, all the way to 5th place! Look for Landry to land on the podium overall if she can keep up the pace and get a better start.
