2018 FarkenGruven Series
Amateur racing at the local level has evolved to meet the demands of the national amateur racing scene. With an abundance of classes on any given race day, racing has become quick 4 lap sprints with only a handful a riders in a majority of the classes on the gate. This leaves a lot of motocrossers with the impression that amateur racing is no longer the value it once used to be.
To address this concern and bring value back to racing, Baja Acres ran the first annual FarkenGruven race in 2017. The idea is simple: shrink down the classes to allow longer 20 minute motos and fill up the gates. Plus, the race day is split up into 3 programs, 4 classes in each program that rotate through both motos. Show up for your designated program, get your motos in, and the rest of the day is yours.
For 2018, this new concept has expanded to feature a FarkenGruven race at every GLMX track! Throughout the summer and fall you can race long motos at all your favorite tracks in the GLMX, with no membership necessary (AMA is required). I encourage everyone who wants to get the most bang for their buck at the races (and a cold beer after) to check out the FarkenGruven format at all 6 GLMX tracks this season.
