Moto Medals, what only 3 riders per race can win in at the ranch. Just over 100 medals are given out and with each it signifies the rider receiving it, that they have secured a place in history, a top 3 finish at the biggest and most prestigious amateur national. With the motos ending for 2017, the riders who achieved their goals, will look back on this forever in their memory as one of their greatest moments racing. For the riders leaving empty handed, it means 360 days of hard work, training, practice, and local racing to prepare for the national in 2018. The families behind the riders are some of the most supportive and passionate anyone will ever find, with the cheers being heard for 100s of yard. When a rider says “I am done” or “ I cant” their loved ones are there to support and encourage them no matter what. As we look at all the Michigan riders from 2017 keep in mind there are 200x as many MI natives that tried to make it, and next year will be the same, maybe even more competitive.
