Michigan Racers Results:

With some luck and hard riding on his 5 day old Zeigler Motorsports Racing CRF450R #881 Jerry Lorenz III, made it into the 40 man gate, he rode hard, but the new bike, challenging RedBud Track and lack of seat time relegated the Morris, MI native to 40th overall. Jerry is going to go back to the grind and see if he can dial in his MCR suspension and make the bike work better for another national event run.
Our best finishing Michigan racer in 450 MX Brad Esper from Howell, MI, with a 30th overall. In Moto 2 Esper kept strong and brought home his Suzuki RMZ450 in the 25th place position, barely missing the points paying 20th spot.

Making his return to racing after a lackluster Supercross season was the #89 Yamaha of Joey Crown, Qualifying in the 20th position the Championship Powersports/MCR backed entry Started well in moto 1 rounding the first turn in 4th place, and staying strong for the opening laps, things looked good for the Metamora, MI native, as the laps wore on Crown slowed down and shook his head as he was having a mechanical issue and had to pull in for the moto with a DNF. Moto 2 Crown with another top 10 start, and doing battle with the top factory racers kept charging until around the 20 minute mark of the 30min + 2 lap race, as then his lack of race time started to wear on the #89 YZ250F pilot, crown would hang on for points and a 17th in the moto and finish the day 22nd overall.
